Detail update
Detail update Tuesday
Having somewhat changed the design, we have sent the plans regarding the foundations to an engineer, we are now waiting for a reply as to what they feel we should change or elements that will work as they are.
The core original Chime group are also currently discussing which kind of structure to use for the overall main body one option is to have angled poles holding the different layers together. The detail group are waiting for a decision from the core group so that they can begin to make final CAD drawings which they will in turn send to the contractor to cut the wood.
As far as the other details are coming along, at this point the bells have been purchased and we are awaiting delivery. The parts for the legs are here and will be constructed this week after which the bells will be added. The pulley system and bell mechanisms have been finalised and are ready to be made this week.

Solutions Raised
From a funding point of view, we are quite unstable and we definetly need more sponsors. We just had a morning meeting with our tutors and all of the core group members, thus we concluded that we need:
- to contact more sponsors
- to ask every group member to donate £10 http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/georginanaishmsa/the-chime-pavillion
- to ask for friends and family support

Funding/Documentation Update 6/11/12
As the funding group needed help finding sponsors, the documentation group is now working closely with them getting in touch with companies trying to get both financial support as well as help publicising our project.
We've now started focusing on local contractors and today we've been in touch with:
Gleeson- Need to call back tomorrow
John Turners and Sons- Sent an email as the relevant person was in a meeting
Lovell in Altrincham- Said they normally sponsor projects near to their projects and not their offices. Probably not interested but sent an email.
Seddon- Spoke to the relevant person who said to send an email and she will try and circulate it around the directors asap.
The documentation group have also been trying to get publicity for the project by tweeting local art projects/local celebrities/manchester newspapers and this has resulted in more people following Chime on twitter and we hope this will increase local interest in our project.
