Dear Sirs,
Following our telephone call this morning I am writing to give you more information about our project. I would like to introduce myself as part of an upcoming project organised with The Manchester School of Architecture and The National Trust.
As a small group of second year architects at the university, we have been lucky enough to win a competition for a garden pavillion within The National Trust grounds of Dunham Massey, Altrincham. Our design is based on the old internal servants bell system, as a place for children to come and sit in the shelter and engage with the surroundings. Our design has been selected from six competitive groups and will be commissioned on Tuesday 13th - Wednesday 14th November.
We have envisaged this design to be constructed from many layers of plywood, to play with the light and be in keeping with the surroundings. In order to complete our project we are currently seeking your sponsorship and in return we can offer advertisement of your firm on our pavilion (eg. your company and logo on the site at The National Trust Dunham Massey, and on any of our work for this project, posters at uni for students to use again etc). We are also currently corresponding with local magazines and newspapers who whilst advertising our pavilion can include a mention of your firm. We are aware that this may be a fairly short timescale for build, however we are confident in our design and construction. Not only would this benefit us as students we hope that you would be keen to support a local university and your local part of The National Trust.
I have attached an image showing the section of our pavilion which explains how our concept has developed into a coherent design. It also includes images of our pavilion subject to seasonal change.
Here is a link to a video about the project, which contains information on construction: http://vimeo.com/51160376. Should you require further information on this project I would welcome you to contact me so I can pass this on to you.
I hope that this opportunity is of interest to you.
Yours faithfully,
Brodie Kane

Dear Sirs
I am writing in the hope of interesting you in an upcoming project run by the Manchester School of Architecture in collaboration with the National Trust. We believe that this project will be an interest to your readers as Dunham Massey is the most visited National Trust land in Cheshire, with 200,000 visitors in 2010. Our project will be locally designed and built, and will be a prominent feature in the grounds of Dunham Massey during this season.
Attached you will find further information on the design, including drawings and photos.
We look forward to hearing from you in the near future,
